Dr. Steven Eckert

Dr. Eckert is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Following dental school he completed a General Practice Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Chicago. He was certified in Prosthodontics and completed his Master of Science degree at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. Dr. Eckert is a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He is a Fellow in the American College of Prosthodontists, Academy of Prosthodontics, Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and the International Team for Implantology. He is a Consultant in Prosthodontics at the Mayo Clinic and a Professor of Dentistry in the Mayo College of Medicine. He serves as Vice President of the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, Immediate Past President of the Academy of Osseointegration and Secretary-Treasurer of the Academy of Prosthodontics. He is an examiner for the American Board of Prosthodontics. He has served in editorial capacities for a variety of prosthodontic journals and is now Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants. He has published extensively in the scientific literature and presents at numerous scientific meetings. His research interests are in the fields of osseointegration and maxillofacial prosthetics.

Prof. Dr. Peter Eickholz

Jahrgang 1963; 1982-1987 Studium der Zahnheilkunde in Köln; 1988-1989 Tätigkeit als Sanitätsoffizier bei der Bundeswehr; 1989 Promotion; 1989-1992 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter der Poliklinik für Parodontologie der Universität Münster; 1992 Fachzahnarzt für Parodontologie; 1992-2004 Poliklinik für Zahnerhaltungskunde der Universität Heidelberg, seit 1995 Oberarzt und seit 2000 Leiter der Sektion Parodontologie; Habilitation 1997; außerplanmäßige Professur 2003; seit 2004 Direktor der Poliklinik für Parodontologie am Zentrum der Zahn-, Mund- und Kieferheilkunde (Carolinum), Johann Wolfgang Goethe-Universität Frankfurt; 1994 Spezialist für Parodontologie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Parodontologie; Mitglied in verschiedenen Editorial Boards (Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Dentomaxillofacial Radiology, Zeitschrift für Ästhetische Zahnmedizin), im wissenschaftlichen Beirat der Deutschen Zahnärztlichen Zeitschrift und Chefredakteur der Zeitschrift Parodontologie; Zweiter Vorsitzender der Neuen Arbeitsgruppe Parodontologie (NAgP) und Mitglied im Vorstand der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Parodontologie (DGP).
Hauptarbeitsgebiete: Diagnostik und Therapie der Furkationsbeteiligung, computerunterstützte Röntgendiagnostik, regenerative Parodontitistherapie (GTR), lokale Antibiotikatherapie, Langzeitergebnisse nach Parodontitistherapie und Einfluss von Risikofaktoren.

Prof. Dr. Claus-Peter Ernst

Studium der Zahnmedizin an der Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in München, 1996 Oberarzt an der Poliklinik für Zahnerhaltungskunde des Klinikums der Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (Direktorin: Prof. Dr. Dipl. Chem. B.Willershausen), 1999 Habilitation, 2005 Ernennung zum außerplanmäßigen Professor.

Forschungs-und Arbeitsschwerpunkte:
Adhäsive und ästhetische Zahnheilkunde, Kompositmaterialien, Dentinadhäsive, Lichtpolymerisation; Prophylaxe und Mundhygienehilfsmittel.

Behandlungsschwerpunkte:
Direkte und indirekte adhäsive Versorgungen mit Komposit und Keramik (Inlays, metallfreie Kronen, Teilkronen und Brücken, Veneers), Bleichtechniken vitaler und avitaler Zähne, Prophylaxe

Dr. Marco Esposito

Dr. Marco Esposito is Senior Lecturer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Editor of the Cochrane Oral Health Group, Director of the Postgraduate Dental Specialties courses in Dental Implantology (Certificate, Diploma and Masters), School of Dentistry, University of Manchester, UK and Associate Professor in Biomaterials with the Sahlgrenska Academy of Göteborg University, Sweden, and Editor-in-Chief of the European Journal of Oral Implantology.

Marco graduated with honors in dentistry at the Univesity of Pavia, Italiy in 1990 and was awarded a PhD in Biomaterials from the Göteborg University in 1999. He worked as Guest Researcher at NIOM (Scandinavian Institute of Dental Materials), Haslum, Norway and is a specialist in Periodontics (UK). He authored more than 80 scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals. His main research interests are the assessment of the effectiveness of various therapeutic interventions with particular emphasis on dental implants.
